Review Day

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week seeing that as we throw our cares, worries, and fears on the Lord, He will keep us strong and secure.

Here’s the promise.

Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. – Psalm 55:22

Make this confession

  • Right now, I throw all my burdens on the Lord.
  • I confess that He is my security, strength, and comfort.
  • He will never leave me or forsake me.
  • He will keep me on solid ground no matter what life throws my way.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Tuesday was all about how God’s love for us is beyond our comprehension. We may not understand it completely, but we rejoice in His love.

Here’s the promise.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him. – Psalm 103:11

Make this confession.

  • God’s love for me is beyond my understanding.
  • His commitment love for me is never-ending and will never fail.
  • God is pouring out His love, grace, mercy, and compassion on me.
  • I can rest in His unfathomable love for me today.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we were encouraged by the promise that when Christ returns, we will meet Him in the air.

Here’s the promise.

Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. – 1 Thessalonians 4:17

Confess this after me.

  • When Christ returns, I will meet Him in the air.
  • Jesus will set up His eternal kingdom here on earth.
  • I will spend all eternity with Him on a new earth.
  • I look forward to the day when He returns for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that we are dead to our sin. Sin no longer has power over us. Our old life is gone, and now we’ve been made new and are alive in Christ.

Here’s the promise

Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. – Romans 6:11

Make this confession.

  • I am dead to my sin and my sin nature.
  • As a dead person, sin no longer has power over me.
  • I am not the old person I used to be.
  • I am alive in Christ and walk as a new person in Him.

In Jesus name,
Amen

We finished the week seeing that even though the world is filled with fear, stress, and worry, we can take every thought captive and live in obedience to Christ.

Here’s the promise.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:5

Confess this with me.

  • I have the mind of Christ in me.
  • I am taking every thought captive.
  • I am capturing every wrong thought early.
  • I am transforming my mind by dwelling on God’s Word.

In Jesus Name,
Amen
