Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday
We started the week talking about the hope we have in Jesus. God’s desire for you and me is to be full of hope.
Here’s the promise.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. – Romans 15:13
Make these confessions.
- In Jesus Christ, I am filled with hope.
- Because of that hope, I have peace and Joy.
- The Holy Spirit in me overflows with hope.
- I abound in hope, joy, and peace today.
In Jesus name,
Amen
You are filled with hope today because your eternity is secure. You have a relationship with the creator God, the Holy Spirit in you, and God’s power is on you.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, we saw how we are filled with the fulness of God.
The more you grab hold of God’s love, the more you find the abundance of God’s presence flowing through your life.
Here’s the promise.
And to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. – Ephesians 3:19 (ESV)
Make these confessions.
- I have the fullness of God in me.
- God’s love is beyond my comprehension.
- I experience God’s love on a daily basis.
- The more I comprehend His love, the more I experience His fullness.
In Jesus name,
Amen
As you experience the boundless love of God in your day-to-day living, you will experience God’s fullness in your life.
Wednesday
Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that even when others intentionally try and hurt us, God is able to work it for our good.
Heres’ the promise.
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. – Genesis 50:20
Make these confessions.
- God is working all things for my good.
- Though others may intentionally seek to harm me, God will use it for His glory.
- I will not hold bitterness or unforgiveness to those who hurt me.
- I will forgive those who wrong me and look forward to what God does on my behalf.
In Jesus name,
Amen
When others hurt you, don’t become bitter or try and get even. Take a moment to claim this promise. Forgive them, and by faith, look forward to what God is going to do.
Thursday
On Thursday, we saw how God has reconciled us to Himself. He moved us from enemies to friends.
Here’s the Promise.
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. – 2 Corinthians 5:18
Make these confessions.
- I have been reconciled with Christ.
- My sins have been forgiven and removed.
- His righteousness has been imparted to me.
- God has given me the ministry of bringing others into a relationship with Him.
In Jesus name,
Amen
You are reconciled with God because your sin has been removed, and His righteousness is in you.
Friday
We finished up the week with a reminder that Jesus is coming soon.
We don’t know the time, day, or even the year of His return. Anyone who tells you they know is mistaken. Our responsibility is to simply be ready. We are to live as though His return could be today.
Here’s the Promise.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. – John 14:3
Make these confessions today.
- Jesus is preparing a special place for me in heaven.
- When He returns, I will spend eternity in His presence.
- I don’t know when He will return, but I am living like it will be today.
- When He returns, He will establish His eternal kingdom.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Remember, Jesus is coming. It may be today or tomorrow. It may be this week or may be in the distant future. We are to be watching for His return the way the bride waits for her returning husband.
Encourage a friend with one of the promises you learned this week. Remind them that God is good, even in troubling times.
