Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – Jesus Brings Contentment

We began the week talking about our contentment in Christ.

Here’s the promise.

Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. – Philippians 4:11

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, I am content.
  • I will not seek meaning through what I own or have.
  • I find purpose and satisfaction in Christ.
  • I am content in every situation in life.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

You have a choice, you can chase after every “new thing” hoping to find satisfaction, or you find true contentment through your relationship with Christ.

Tuesday – Hold Onto the Promises of God

On Tuesday, we made the confession that we are holding onto all the promises of God. When God makes a promise, we can be confident that He will fulfill it.

Here’s the promise.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. – Hebrews 10:23

Make these confessions.
  • God will fulfill every promise He has made.
  • I hold fast to the hope I have in Jesus Christ.
  • My hope is not based on my strength but on His faithfulness.
  • I am confident that what God has said, He will do.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

You can claim God’s promises because you know He is faithful to do what He has said He would do.

Wednesday – In Your Presence is Abundant Joy

Midway through the week, we saw that we have overflowing joy when we walk in God’s presence. Joy should be the natural expression of the Christian life.

Here’s the promise.

You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures. – Psalm 16:11

Make these confessions.
  • In God’s presence, there is abundant joy.
  • Joy is the evidence of my walking in God’s presence.
  • Today, I am on the path to eternal life – overflowing with joy.
  • Christ in me is my source of joy.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Christ in you is a constant source of God’s presence. Today, you have overflowing joy because God’s presence lives in you.

Thursday – Made Alive in Christ

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that we have been made alive in Christ. Sin and death may have come through Adam, but Jesus gives us righteousness and life.

Here’s the promise.

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. – 1 Corinthians 15:22

Make these confessions.
  • Just as Adam brought sin and death, Jesus brought righteousness and life.
  • When I die, I am only resting in Jesus.
  • When God raised Christ from the dead, He raised me with Him.
  • In Jesus Christ, I have life.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As a Christian, you live alive in Christ. Your spirit has been made alive in Him. Remember, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Friday – God Will Give You the Desires of Your Heart

We ended the week with the promise that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. This promise is not a heavenly credit card but a promise that our desires become His desires as we focus on Christ.

Here’s the promise.

Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart. – Psalm 37:4

Make these confessions.
  • As I delight in the Lord, God’s desires become my desires.
  • As I delight in the Lord, He gives me my desires.
  • As I trust in the Lord, I grow in my delight for Him.
  • I fulfill the true desires of my heart through my relationship with Christ.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As you delight in the Lord, you find new meaning and fulfillment. As your desires become His desires, He gives you the desires of your heart.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

1Corinthians 15:22 is especially meaningful to me. My mother recently passed and I am struggling with the hurt and sadness of her not being physically here with me any longer but thus Scripture brings me peace and hope knowing she is alive in Christ and that I will be reunited with her someday 🙏🏽🧡
