Saturday Review
This Week’s Promises
Psalm 92:12-14 | Psalm 51:7 | Isaiah 44:3 | Psalm 90:2
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Tuesday – You Will be Fruitful in Your Old Age
We began the week with the promise that we can flourish and even be fruitful in our old age.
Here’s the promise.
The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green. – Psalm 92:12-14
Makes these confessions.
- I will flourish like a palm tree.
- God makes me as strong as the cedar in Lebanon.
- I am planted in the presence of the Lord.
- Even when I am old, I will thrive and be fruitful for the kingdom of God.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
You can thrive in the most difficult situations as a follower of Christ. God will refresh and strengthen you as long as you live. Even in your old age, you will be strong and fruitful for the kingdom of God. What an incredible promise from God’s word.
Wednesday – Nothing is too Hard for God
Midway through the week, we saw that nothing is too hard or difficult for the Lord. No matter what you are going through, God can handle it.
Here’s the promise.
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me? – Jeremiah 32:27
Make these confessions.
- Nothing is too hard for God.
- I will not fear because God’s got this.
- God releases His power into my life.
- I will not fear. I will trust in the Lord
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
If God can create the universe just by speaking it into being, He can handle the problems you face. Nothing is impossible for Him.
Thursday – Jesus Gives Water to Our Thirsty Souls
On Thursday, we celebrated the promise that God pours out His spirit on our thirsty souls. He brings refreshment through the Holy Spirit.
Here’s the promise.
For I will pour out water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants. – Isaiah 44:3
Make these confessions.
- God pours out spiritual water on my thirsty soul.
- The Holy Spirit refreshes my heart.
- My heart overflows with the Holy Spirit.
- When my life is dry, I call on the Lord for refreshment.
- In Jesus’ Name
Amen
There is no reason to walk around spiritually thirsty. Call out to the one who promises spiritual water in the dry and dusty desert.
Friday – Make Every Day Count
We ended the week committing to number our days and use each one to the glory of God.
Here’s the promise.
So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. – Psalm 90:12
Make these confessions.
- I number my days, knowing life can easily slip by.
- I treasure every day God gives me.
- I live life with intention, following God’s guidance.
- I use every day for God’s glory.
In Jesus’ Name
Amen
When we learn to number our days, we learn to take advantage of every day and every moment.
