Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week seeing how God is working in our lives to keep us from falling.

Here’s the promise.

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand. – Psalm 37:23-24

Make this confession today.

  • Failure and falling are part of life.
  • When I fall, I will not stay down.
  • My failure doesn’t have to be fatal.
  • Today, Jesus has me by the hand.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we focused our attention on the strength God gives us.

Here’s the promise.

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. – Ephesians 6:10

Confess this with me.

  • In Jesus Christ, I am strong.
  • I will not be defeated by any attack of Satan.
  • I am empowered as I draw upon the strength of the Lord.
  • God’s power within me gives me victory over every enemy.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that God is able to more than we could ever ask or think.

His abundant power is working within us.

Here’s the promise.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. – Ephesians 3:20

Here’s today’s confession.

  • My God is the “more than enough” God.
  • The incredible power of God is working in me today.
  • I am stepping out in faith to pray big prayers to a big God.
  • God’s overabundant power is available in me to face any problem or challenge.

In Jesus name,
Amen

On Thursday, we saw how we are citizens of a new, eternal kingdom in heaven.

Here’s the promise.

Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. – Philippians 3:20

Confess this with me.

  • Right now, I am a citizen of heaven.
  • I know that when I die, I will spend eternity in heaven.
  • I am no longer at home in this world.
  • I look forward to the return of Christ.
  • I live with my eyes on heaven knowing this world is not my home.

In Jesus name,
Amen

We ended the week, celebrating just how much Jesus loves us. As much as God loves Jesus, Jesus loves us.

Here’s the promise.

Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. – John 15:9

Make this confession today.

  • Today I will live connected to the love of Christ.
  • Jesus loves me the way God loves Him.
  • I am making myself at home to the love of Christ.
  • As I abide in Christ, His love flows through me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His Word.
