2 Corinthians 5:9 | Mattew 6:19-20 | Isaiah 46:10 | Ephesians 1:17 | Jude 24

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week, making it our goal to please the Lord in everything we do.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. – 2 Corinthians 5:9

Make this confession

  • My ambition in life is to please the Lord.
  • It doesn’t matter where I am; I seek to please the Lord.
  • God saved me and gave me new life in Christ.
  • I can’t help but serve Him with all that I am.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we confessed that we would invest our resources in the kingdom of God.

Here’s the promise.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. – Matthew 6:19-20

Confess this with me.

  • I invest my time, talent, and finances in the Kingdom of God.
  • I expect eternal rewards for my investment.
  • Earthly treasure may fade, but my heavenly treasures will last for eternity.
  • God uses my kingdom investments to minister and to bring others to Christ.
  • I am storing up heavenly treasure for all eternity.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Wednesday, we were reminded not to live in worry or fear.

God is working to accomplish His master plan for the future.

Here’s the promise.

My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure. – Isaiah 46:10

Make this confession.

  • God is working in the world around me to accomplish His good will.
  • God is working in my life to accomplish his good will in me.
  • I will not fear because God is in control.
  • I confess my dependence upon Him so that He can fulfill His master plan in my life.

In Jesus Name
Amen

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that God gives us wisdom and revelation.

As He reveals Himself we grow in a deeper knowledge of Christ.

Here’s the promise.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. – Ephesians 1:17

Make this confession.

  • I have a spirit of wisdom.
  • The Holy Spirit is revealing Christ to me.
  • Father, answer Paul’s prayer in my life today.
  • Lord, give me a deeper knowledge of who you are.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We ending the week learning how God is watching over us.

He is bringing about His good will and plan in our lives. He will one day present us to the Father blameless before Him.

Here’s the promise.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy. – Jude 24

Confess this with me.

  • Jesus is working in me to bring about his plan in my life.
  • Jesus keeps my salvation.
  • What I did not earn, I cannot lose.
  • Jesus’ blood has made me blameless before God.
  • Jesus has great joy in presenting me to God the Father.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His Word.

While you are at church tomorrow, share one of the promises we learned this week. Everyone can use an encouraging promise from God’s Word.

Thanks for being a part of the Daily Promise family. I hope you will join me Monday as we look at another promise from God’s Word. Until then, this is Billy Taylor and God’s richest blessings.

Take a moment and share which verse was most meaningful to you this week?

Powerful scriptures this week. My favorite was:

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. – Ephesians 1:17

Thank you Billy Taylor for all you do to expand the Kingdom of God!!!
