This Week’s Scriptures

Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday

We began the week with God’s promise to strengthen and empower our inner person.

Here’s the promise.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. – Ephesians 3:16

Make these confessions today.
  • God is strengthening my inner being today.
  • God’s power and grace is my source of strength.
  • The Holy Spirit is empowering me today.
  • I am strong today because Christ gives me His strength.
  • I will not give up or give in because I have the power of Christ in me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.

When your heart is empowered and strengthened, you can do anything. You can go longer than you imagine, further than you thought possible, and stay with it until you finish.

 

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we saw how often times we believe God can heal us, but we doubt his desire to do so. Jesus never turned away anyone who was hurting or in need of healing.

Here’s the Promise.

And a leper came to Jesus, beseeching Him and falling on his knees before Him, and saying, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” – Mark 1:40-41

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus is moved with compassion for me.
  • He is willing to enter into the problems I face.
  • When I come to Him, He always hears my call.
  • In Jesus Christ, I find compassion and healing.

In Jesus name,
Amen.

Whatever your need today, Jesus is saying, “I am willing.” Allow Him to be your healing, helper, and compassionate friend.

 

Wednesday

Midway through the week, we celebrated the fact that God’s promises never fail. The heart of faith believes that God will do what He said He would do.

Here’s the promise.

Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. – 1 Kings 8:56

Make these confessions.
  • Every promise of God will come true.
  • Even when I don’t understand, God is working to fulfill His word.
  • I trust God, that what He has said, He will do.
  • I claim God’s promise to me today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.

Remember, the God you serve is the promise-keeping God. He will always fulfill His word.

 

Thursday

On Thursday, we saw that God gives wisdom to everyone who asks. 

When you are under pressure or stress, you need God’s wisdom to know what to do. When you are going through difficult times, the best thing you can do is ask for wisdom.

Here’s the promise.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5

Make these confessions.
  • I have wisdom that comes only from God.
  • He gives me wisdom freely and generously when I ask.
  • When I need direction or clarity, I ask God for wisdom.
  • As I ask for wisdom, God always gives it to me.
  • God’s wisdom helps me make wise choices that bring about success in my life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.

 

Friday

We ended the week seeing how God is on your side. If God is on your side, who could possibly stand against you?

Here’s the promise.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? – Romans 8:31

Make these confessions.
  • God is for me.
  • I will not fear because I know God is walking with me.
  • Today, I stand with confidence, knowing God is on my side.
  • I am tearing down walls, defeating the giant, and living in freedom because God is with me. 

In Jesus name,
Amen.

Take on the giant, tear down the walls, and live in the freedom Christ has provided.

    Thank you Mr Taylor. I absolutely salute the Christ light that shines from you. Your Gods promises are always timely to what I am facing that week.

    I tend to catch up on the Saturday review. write them in my journal, repeating repetively. Gods promises are true EVEN when the situation appears to be looking gloomy, uncertain or bleak.

    These posts give me hope to believe God’s report and that God loves me EVEN when at times those closest to me appear not to. ( thankfully I know that to NOT be true, at times I feel so isolated and rejected)
