Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – The Lord is Your Hiding Place
We began the week by seeing how God is our hiding place. When problems and difficulties overwhelm us, we have one we can turn to. He provides shelter, protection, and provision.
Here’s the promise.
You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Psalm 32:7
Make these confessions.
- When trouble comes, I have a hiding place.
- God will preserve me through my troubles.
- He will cover me on all sides.
- Jesus is my hiding place.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When problems surround you and you feel overwhelmed, run to your hiding place. God will provide protection and provision in your time of need.
Tuesday – Only God Brings Salvation
On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that God is our only salvation. Our hope is not found in our finances, career, or even in our family. When you wait on God, you find He is your salvation and provider of all you need. Only God can fill the need of your soul.
Here’s the promise.
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. – Psalm 62:1
Make these confessions.
- My salvation comes only from the Lord.
- When I face troubles, I look to the Lord.
- It’s not about my words but about His grace.
- I wait quietly before the God of my salvation.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you face a problem, remember that salvation doesn’t come from a brilliant plan but from God’s hand. Go to God in silence and rest in Him.
Wednesday – Seated With Christ
Midway through the week, we learned that right now, we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Because we are seated with Him, we have direct access to God and all He has for us.
Here’s the promise.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. – Ephesians 2:5-6
Make these confessions.
- I am seated with Christ in heaven.
- I walk in this world, but my position is in heaven.
- I live in His presence, with victory and authority in Christ.
- God’s grace is working in my life today.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
You may have never realized it, but you are seated in heavenly places with Christ. This world, with all its worries, struggles, and fear, no longer controls you. You live in the accomplished work of Christ.
Thursday – God Sees Your Potential
On Thursday, we saw how God sees more in us than we see in ourselves. God sees us for who we are in Christ. While we look at our current situation, God sees our fulfilled potential.
Here’s the promise.
The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, “The Lord is with you, O valiant warrior.” – Judges 6:12
Make these confessions.
- How I see myself is unimportant.
- How God sees me is what matters.
- Today, I will live the life God has for me.
- I will be all He sees in me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When God looks at you, He sees more in you than what you see in yourself. You may be full of fear and worry, but God sees you as a mighty valiant warrior.
Friday – God Will Lead and Direct You
We ended the week with the promise that God will show us the way when we need clarity and direction. God promises to teach, guide, and counsel us in how we should live.
Here’s the promise.
I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel. – Psalm 32:8
Make this confession after me.
- God is directing and teaching me today.
- I am led and taught by the Holy Spirit.
- I am staying close to God so I can follow His leadership.
- God is leading me in the daily decisions of life.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
If you have ever doubted God’s desire and willingness to give you direction, remember that God has promised to instruct, direct, and counsel you.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
