Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – You are Part of the Kingdom of God

We began the week seeing that through faith in Christ, we have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness to become citizens in the kingdom of Christ.

Here’s the promise.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. – Colossians 1:13

Make these confessions.
  • I am no longer a member of the kingdom of darkness.
  • I am now a citizen of the Kingdom of Christ.
  • Jesus is my Lord and King.
  • I live in victory today because Christ has made me part of His kingdom.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

The power of sin has been broken, and Satan has no claim on us. Through our faith in Christ, we are now a citizen of heaven.

Tuesday – God is Patient Toward You

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that God is patient with us.

We all want our walk with God to move from one glorious moment to the next, but unfortunately, it’s often two steps forward and one step back.

The good news is that God knows our weaknesses and frailties. He knows what we are made of. Therefore, like a loving father, He patiently guides us in the way we should go.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9

Make these confessions.
  • God is never slow in fulfilling His promises.
  • God is patient with me and knows my frailty.
  • He is working to make me more like Jesus.
  • When I stray, He patiently draws me back to Himself.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

God is patiently working in our lives. He knows our weaknesses and failures but is committed to bringing us into a closer relationship with Him.

Wednesday – Grace, Mercy, and Peace Are with You

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that God fills our lives with grace and mercy. Grace and mercy work together to produce peace in our lives.

Here’s the promise.

Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. – 2 John 1:3

Make these confessions.
  • God’s grace is with me today.
  • His grace drew me to Himself and brought about my salvation.
  • God’s mercy is flowing over me today.
  • His mercy has forgiven my sin and made me new in Him.
  • Because of God’s grace and mercy, I have peace with Him today.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

God’s mercy and grace come together to bring about God’s peace in our lives.

Thursday – Worship that Pleases God

On Thursday, we discovered that, as Christians, we have a unique ability to worship God. As Christians, God loves our worship. We are the only creatures in all creation who can worship Him in spirit and truth.

Here’s the promise.

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. – John 4:23

Make these confessions.
  • I worship God in spirit and truth.
  • I gratefully express my thanks and praise to Him.
  • My worship always begins in my heart.
  • God loves it when I worship him in honesty and with a pure heart.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

We don’t need to worry about how to worship or if we are doing it right. Our focus is on lifting our praise and thanksgiving from a genuine, thankful heart.

Friday – God is Working in You

We ended the week with the promise that God is working in us to change us from the inside out.

Here’s the promise.

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. – Philippians 2:13

Make these confessions.
  • Right now, God is working in my life.
  • His Holy Spirit is working in me to bring about obedience to Christ.
  • God gives me the desire to obey and serve Him.
  • God is working in me so He can work through me.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Today, let’s allow God to work in us so that we can work for His good pleasure. God’s work in our hearts shows itself in your love, service, and witness to those around us.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

These promises remind us of how much God loves us and does for us to make us His precious people.
