Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – I Have the Mind of Christ
We began the week seeing that we have the mind of Christ. As we walk with the Lord, He gives us new insight into the world around us. As we listen for His voice, His thoughts become our thoughts.
Here’s the promise.
For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:16
Make these confessions.
- I have the mind of Christ in me.
- The Holy Spirit in me allows me to see the spiritual world around me.
- I live by faith and not by sight.
- The mind of Christ allows me to live life from God’s perspective.
In Jesus name,
Amen
As a Christian, you have the mind of Christ. His indwelling presence leads and directs you. You walk by faith and not by sight.
Tuesday – The Spirit Tells Me I am His
On Tuesday, we celebrated the assurance of our salvation. The Holy Spirit speaks to our spirits and reminds us that we are the children of God.
Here’s the promise.
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. – Romans 8:16
Make these confessions.
- I am a child of God.
- The Holy Spirit bears witness that I am God’s child.
- Because of my faith in Christ, I never doubt my salvation.
- As a Child of God, I have confidence in prayer.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Just as Jesus presents us to the Father as His children, the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts that we are His.
Wednesday – Jesus Gives Me Peace
Midway through the week, we claimed the supernatural peace Christ gives. Our peace is not based on our circumstances but on the relationship with have with Christ.
Here’s the promise.
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.” – John 14:27
Make these confessions.
- Right now, I receive the peace of Christ.
- Father, thank You for Your peace in my life.
- By faith, I walk in the peace you have promised me.
- When my faith wains, I draw close to Christ and receive His peace in my life.
In Jesus name,
Amen
The peace of Christ is a supernatural peace. It’s not based on your situation but on your relationship with the Lord Jesus. He is your peace today.
Thursday – Give Thanks to the Lord, for He is Good
On Thursday, we stopped to give thanks for all the blessings we have received. We are thankful because God is good, and His commitment love for us is forever.
Here’s the promise.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. – Psalm 107:1
Make these confessions.
- Thank you, Father, for your goodness and care for me.
- Thank you for blessing me in ways I easily forget.
- Thank you that your love is never-ending.
- Thank you for the salvation I have in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
I recently saw a post that read, what if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday? We can all be more thankful.
Friday – Jesus Knows My Weakness
We ended the week seeing that because Jesus was tempted in every way are we are, He knows and has compassion for our weaknesses.
Here’s the promise.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. – Hebrews 4:15
Make these confessions.
- Jesus is my great high priest.
- He faced every temptation I face and yet was without sin.
- He understands my weaknesses and how hard life can be.
- Jesus welcomes me into His presence.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Understanding that Jesus faced every temptation we face removes the fear of coming to Him when we are tempted or give in to temptation.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
