This Week’s Promises

Deuteronomy 20:4 | Ephesians 6:13 | John 10:27 | Philippians 4:4 | Revelations 3:20

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – God Goes with You and Fights for Your

We began the week by seeing how God fights for us. Just as God fought for the Children of Israel, He fights for you in battles you face.

Here’s the promise.

For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. – Deuteronomy 20:4

Make these confessions.
  • Every battle I face is a spiritual battle.
  • As I face every battle, God is with me and in me.
  • It’s not about my strength but God’s strength in me.
  • God fights my battles for me and always brings me victory.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

You never face a battle alone. God is with you and fights your battles for you. He promises to save you from every enemy.

Tuesday – God Gives You Spiritual Armor

On Tuesday, we saw how, every morning, we wake up in a spiritual battle. Spiritual forces in heavenly places are out for our destruction. However, God has given us supernatural spiritual armor to stand against any and every attack.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. – Ephesians 6:13

Make these confessions.
  • Father, open my eyes to the spiritual battle around me.
  • By faith, I take on the supernatural armor of God.
  • Today, I stand against every force of darkness that comes against me.
  • I will keep standing until I see victory.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

In Jesus Christ, you have the promise of victory. Satan will always fall before the Christian who is empowered by the armor of God.

Wednesday – I Hear His Voice and Follow

Midway through the week, we were reminded that Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Jesus knows us by name and understands our every need. We hear His voice and follow wherever He leads.

Here’s the promise.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. – John 10:27

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus knows me by name.
  • I hear and recognize the voice of God.
  • I will never be ignored or forgotten by the Father.
  • I follow Jesus wherever He leads.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

As the Good Shepherd, Jesus knows you by name. He knows your needs, and you hear His voice. As a Christian, you follow Christ wherever He leads.

Thursday – Rejoice is a Choice

On Thursday, we discovered that the Christian life is full of joy. God commands us to rejoice always. Because we know God is in control, we can rejoice no matter what we are going through.

Here’s the promise.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! – Philippians 4:4

Make these confessions.
  • Today, I choose to rejoice.
  • The Holy Spirit is producing joy in my life.
  • My joy is not dependent on my circumstance.
  • I rejoice as a confession of God’s goodness and care for me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

God commands you to rejoice. That may seem hard at times, but the Holy Spirit fills you with supernatural joy when you choose to rejoice.

Friday – Come and Dine With Me – Jesus

We ended the week celebrating the invitation Jesus gives for us to sit down and have fellowship with Him. He is always knocking on the door of our hearts.

Here’s the promise.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. – Revelation 3:20

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus is calling me to an intimate walk with Him.
  • The more I respond, the deeper my relationship goes.
  • I will not allow the world to steal my fellowship with Christ.
  • Today, I will listen for His call.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Jesus is always knocking at the door to your heart. The more you open the door, the more intimate your fellowship with Him will be. Like a close friend, He wants to sit down at a meal with you.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.

I hope you will be at church tomorrow. While there, why not tell your friends about The Daily Promise? Everyone can use a positive word from God’s Word.
