Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – The God Who Calls You Will Bring it to Pass

We began the week seeing that when God calls you to something, He completes it. It’s not about your work but allowing God to work through you.

Here’s the promise.

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Make these confessions.

  • My God is a faithful God.
  • What God begins in my life, He completes.
  • Even though I am sometimes unfaithful, God is always faithful.
  • Today, God is working to fulfill His call in my life.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Tuesday – I Live Under God’s Grace

On Tuesday, we were reminded that we live under the grace of God, not the law. The law always brings condemnation. God’s grace brings freedom and power. In Christ, the power of the law has been broken. God’s grace now freely flows over you.

Here’s the promise.

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. – Romans 6:14

Make these confessions.

  • Sin is no longer my master.
  • Christ has set me free from the power of sin.
  • God’s grace gives me the power to live in freedom from sin.
  • I am no longer under the law but under the grace of God.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Wednesday – I Ask, Seek, and Knock

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that when we keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking, God will always open the door for us. God treasures persistence in prayer.

Here’s the promise.

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. – Luke 11:9-10

Make these confessions.

  • I know that God is answering my prayer.
  • When I ask, seek, and knock, I receive, find, and doors are opened.
  • I will not give up in prayer but will continue to ask, seek, and knock.
  • I will pray until something happens.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Thursday – My Goal is to Please the Lord

On Thursday, we discovered that some goals are really worth pursuing. We agreed with the Apostle Paul in making it our goal to please the Lord.

Here’s the Promise.

Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. – 2 Corinthians 5:9

Make these confessions.

  • My life goal is to please the Lord.
  • Every other goal is placed second to that one life time goal.
  • When life gets hard, and I face difficulty, I will cling to this one goal.
  • I agree with the Apostle Paul that no matter what happens, my goal is to please the Lord.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Friday – God Always Accomplishes His Purpose

We ended the week with the promise that God always accomplishes His purpose. It may seem the world is falling apart around us, but God will accomplish His purpose in the world and in my life.

Here’s the promise.

My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure. – Isaiah 46:10

Make these confessions.

  • God is working in the world around me to accomplish His good will.
  • God is working in my life to accomplish his good will in me.
  • I will not fear because God is in control.
  • I confess my dependence upon Him, so He can fulfill His master plan in my life.

In Jesus Name
Amen

That’s it for this week’s review.
