This Week’s Promises

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – You Faith Pleases God
We began the week by seeing how our faith pleases God. The Christian life must be lived by faith. When we live by faith, we understand that God rewards those who seek Him.
Here’s the promise.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. – Hebrews 11:6
Make these Confessions.
- I live by faith, trusting in what God has said and promised.
- I am committed to seeking the Lord with all I am.
- God will reward my seeking Him by revealing Himself to me.
- My faith in God is pleasing to Him.
In Jesus’ Name,

The Christian life is a life of faith. It is trusting that God rewards those who seek Him with all their heart.
Tuesday – God Gives You Wisdom and Revelation
On Tuesday, we claimed Paul’s prayer that God would give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation. Wisdom knows how to live in line with the will of God.
Here’s the promise.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. – Ephesians 1:17
Make these confessions.
- I have a spirit of wisdom.
- The Holy Spirit is revealing Christ to me.
- God is answering Paul’s prayer in my life today.
- The Holy Spirit is giving me a true knowledge of Jesus.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you ask for wisdom, God always answers. As you listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, He will impart wisdom and reveal the Lord Jesus to you.
Wednesday – You Can Rejoice in Suffering
Midway through the week, we were reminded that even during hard times, we can rejoice. Paul suffered many things during his ministry. He learned that God uses suffering to make us more like Jesus.
Here’s the promise.
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. – Romans 5:3-4
Make these confessions.
- Pain and suffering are part of life.
- Suffering builds endurance and proven character.
- Difficult times, build hope and trust in God.
- I will rejoice in suffering, knowing God is at work in me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
It may seem strange for someone to rejoice in difficult times, but when you understand that God works through your difficulties to develop your character, you can rejoice knowing He is working it for your good.
Thursday – You Live Above Guilt and Shame
On Thursday, we celebrated the promise that the blood of Jesus removes our guilt and shame. When we confess our sins, God forgives them and never brings them up again.
Here’s the promise.
We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. – 1 John 3:19-20
Make this confession.
- In Jesus Christ, I am free from guilt and condemnation.
- I know that sometimes my heart condemns me.
- I will listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice over what my heart says.
- I live guilt-free because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
You can live guilt-free because your sin has been forgiven. When Satan whispers in your ear about your past sins, remind him that God has taken your sin and placed it as far as the east is from the west.
Friday – You Have Everything You Need for Godly Living
We ended the week seeing how God has already given us everything we need to live the Christian life. Instead of striving to live the Christian life, we can rest in the wonderful work God has done for us.
Here’s the promise.
Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. – 2 Peter 1:3
Make these confessions.
- God gives me everything I need for daily living.
- I will not worry about tomorrow because God is my provision.
- His divine power is working in me today.
- I have everything I need to live the Christian life.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Through His supernatural power, Christ has given you everything you need to live the Christian life.
