Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

MondayGod Gives Me Grace

We began the week talking about how God releases grace into our lives.

Here’s the promise.

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6

God’s grace follows those who are completely dependent on Christ.

Make these confessions.
  • I live in humble dependence on God.
  • As I humble myself before God, He pours out His grace on me.
  • God opposes me when I live in pride and independence.
  • I confess my need for Christ and humble myself before Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

If you want God’s grace to flow through your life, then humble yourself before Him. Bow your knee and confess that you don’t have all the answers, and you need His help.

TuesdayI Am Firm in My Faith

On Tuesday, we saw how God calls us to live a life of steadfast and immovable faith.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 15:58

Make these confessions.
  • My faith is strengthened as I learn more about God’s Word.
  • In Jesus’ name, no matter what comes against me, I will not be moved.
  • What God has commanded, He always empowers me to accomplish.
  • As I remain steadfast and immovable, my work for the Lord will overflow.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Remember, God always empowers you to accomplish what He commands. Through the power of Christ in you, you can be steadfast and immovable in our faith and walk with Christ.

WednesdayI Set My Mind on the Goodness of God

Midway through the week, we committed to setting on minds on the good things of the Lord.

Every day, you have a choice. You can either set your mind on the negative things around you or focus on the goodness of God and the blessings He has brought into your life.

Here’s the promise.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Philippians 4:8

Make these confessions.
  • Today, I set my mind on the goodness of God.
  • I refuse to be negative, fearful, or worrisome.
  • I am a positive influence on the world around me.
  • The blessings of God are pouring over me today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God has empowered you today to positively influence your family, your career, and the world around you.

ThursdayThe More I Know God, the More I Trust Him

On Thursday, we learned that the more we know the Lord, the more we can confidently put our trust in Him. He never forsakes those who seek Him.

Here’s the promise.

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. – Psalm 9:10

Make these confessions.
  • The more I know the Lord, the more I trust Him.
  • My trust in the Lord is growing day by day.
  • I know the name of the Lord, and He knows my name.
  • He will never forsake me because He is trustworthy.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Those who know the name of the Lord will always confess that God is faithful and trustworthy. He always comes to the aid of His children, and He will be with you today.

FridayGod Comforts Me

We finished up the week, realizing that discouragement is a part of life. We all face days where we are tired, discouraged, or even depressed.

However, God promises to bring comfort during those times of discouragement. He often does so through friends and other relationships.

Here’s the promise.

But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus. – 2 Corinthians 7:6s

Make these confessions.
  • Everyone faces times of discouragement and stress.
  • I should never feel guilty about being discouraged.
  • Though I may not see it, God is working to bring comfort and encouragement to me.
  • My Titus is just around the corner.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you get discouraged or depressed, remember God is working on your behalf. You may not see it yet, but God may have a Titus just around the corner to encourage and comfort you.

That’s it for this week’s review. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to strengthen your faith through His Word.
