Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – I Am the Salt of the Earth
We began the week by seeing that Jesus called us the salt of the earth.
Here’s the promise.
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. – Matthew 5:13
Make these confessions.
- I am the salt of the earth.
- As I stay close to the Father, I stay salty.
- I bring the distinctive presence of God into every situation.
- God uses me to bring hope and healing to the world around me.
In Jesus name,
Amen
If there was ever a time when the world needed Christians to be salt, it is now. You can be an agent of change in your circle of influence. This week, be the salt of the earth. Bring the kingdom of God into every area of your life.
Tuesday – God’s Favor Lasts a Lifetime
On Tuesday, we celebrated the promise that God’s favor lasts a lifetime.
Here’s the promise.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. – Psalm 30:5
Make these confessions.
- I live in the favor of God.
- God’s favor toward me is renewed every morning.
- I don’t deserve His favor, but He pours it out on me every day.
- I will never outlive God’s favor on me.
- Every blessing is evidence of God’s favor in my life.
In Jesus name,
Amen
God pours out His favor on His children. His favor provides for your every need. Every blessing of God is evidence of His favor and grace in your life.
Wednesday – In Everything Give Thanks
Midway through the week, we were reminded to give thanks in everything. We don’t give thanks for everything, but because we know God is working on our behalf, we can be thankful even in the most difficult situations.
Here’s the promise.
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Make these confessions.
- I thank God for pouring out His blessings on me.
- Every day I will spend a few moments expressing my thankfulness.
- God is the source of all I need.
- I thank God in every situation because I know He is working for my good.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Today, you can be thankful because you know God is working in your life as your protector and provider.
Thursday – God is My Secure Anchor
On Thursday, we saw that God is our steadfast anchor. No matter how strong the winds or how high the waves, Jesus is your secure anchor.
Here’s the promise.
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil. – Hebrews 6:19
Make these confessions
- Jesus is my sure anchor.
- He keeps me safe and secure.
- When the wind blows, and the storm rises, He is my security.
- Jesus is my eternal security and hope for all eternity.
In Jesus name,
Amen
No matter what you are facing today, Jesus is your secure anchor. Rest in Him and draw on His strength today. You can lean on Him amid any storm and find that He is the secure hold you need.
Friday – I Am Led by the Holy Spirit
We concluded the week talking about how the Holy Spirit leads us.
The more you keep your spiritual ears open, and the more you obey what you hear, the more you will find the Holy Spirit speaking to you. He will lead and direct you as never before.
Here’s the promise.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. – Romans 8:14
Makes These confessions.
- As a child of God, the Holy Spirit leads me.
- The Holy Spirit speaks in a still small voice.
- The Holy Spirit leads me one step at a time.
- The more I listen for His voice, the more He leads me through the day.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to all who would follow Him. If you are born again through faith in Christ Jesus the Holy Spirit is in you and leading you today.
