Today’s Promise

Under His Wings
He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.
Psalm 91:4 (CSB)
Fear and Anxiety
Sometimes life seems uncertain and even frightening. We don’t know what will happen next. Fear and anxiety fill our hearts, and we long for a place of peace and safety.
In those times, God provides protection and peace.
Eagle’s Nest
Over the last year, my wife has been fascinated with two eagles up in the mountains of California. A webcam has been set up so you can watch the eagles build their nest, lay eggs, and care for the little eaglets.
It’s been fascinating to watch how these eagles care for their young. No matter what the weather brings, those little eaglets can take refuge under their mother’s wings. When the snow falls, she covers them. When the rain comes, she protects them. And when the winds howl and the storm rages, her wings provide a place where they can remain safe and warm.
If eagles can care so carefully for their young, how much more does your Heavenly Father care for you? When life’s uncertainty leaves you afraid, draw near to your Heavenly Father. He will protect you, bring you peace, and shield you in the storm.
Look at that promise again.
He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield. – Psalm 91:4 (CSB)
Make These Confessions.
-
I take refuge in God’s faithfulness.
-
I am covered by His protection.
-
I find peace resting in God’s presence.
-
Today, God is watching over me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
God promises that when the storms of life rage and our hearts are filled with fear, we can come to Him and find peace and protection. The storm may rage, but like that little eaglet, resting beneath its mother’s wings, we can rest in the shelter of our faithful Heavenly Father.
