We Have the Mind of Christ

For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:16

The Mind of Christ

When you came to Christ, God opened your spiritual eyes and gave you the mind of Christ. Now, the Lord Jesus lives in you and gives you the ability to understand spiritual truth and the heart of God.

There are only two types of people; those who live by sight and those who live by faith.

Those who live by sight only believe what they can see. They are blind to spiritual truth. We have all seen a television personality try and have a conversation about the Bible or spiritual truth. It quickly becomes apparent that they have no idea what they are talking about.

The unbeliever stumbles through life, blind to the spiritual world around them.

The other type of person has placed their trust in Christ and lives by faith. The Holy Spirit speaks to them and teaches them from God’s Word. As a believer, your spiritual eyes are open, and you live with a new understanding.

As a believer, you live at a higher level than the world around you. The Holy Spirit is in you, and you have the mind of Christ. His presence in you allows you to understand the things of the Spirit.

A Different Perspective

You see the world from a completely different perspective. By faith, your prayers open the gates of heaven and release the blessings of the Lord. Because you have the mind of Christ, you think differently. It doesn’t mean you are perfect. God still has a lot of work to do in your life. There are times when you miss God or respond in rebellion. However, it does mean that Christ has opened your eyes to the spiritual realm.

Unfortunately, so many Christians live life by sight instead of faith. They allowed Christ to save them, but they still live by what they see. They never step out in faith and allow God to direct and bless them.

God promises that the mind of Christ that dwells in you will give you new insight into how to live the life of faith.

Look at that promise again.

For who has known the mind of the Lord, that He will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:16

Make these confessions.

  • I have the mind of Christ in me.
  • The Holy Spirit in me allows me to see the spiritual world around me.
  • I live by faith and not by sight.
  • The mind of Christ lets me live life from God’s perspective.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

As a Christian, you have the mind of Christ. His indwelling presence leads and directs you. You walk by faith and not by sight.

There is no question our schools are under attack. It seems every day, we hear of gun violence, bullying, and other dangers at our schools. Every day, our students face all sorts of temptations and challenges. That’s why I am proud to partner with the School Prayer Challenge. This little app on your phone allows you to join others in your community, praying for protection around our schools. The app lists every school in the United States. You can create a list of schools to pray for and then see how many others are praying for your schools. The goal of the School Prayer Challenge is to have people praying for every school in our nation. You can download the app for free in your app store or go to www.schoolprayerchallenge.org. Take the challenge to pray for schools across our country.

I am in constant spiritual warfare. Only the Holy Spirit gets me through it each day. Thank you for God’s grace and mercy. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
