Today’s Promise

When You Seek the Lord, You Find Him

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13

Is God Hiding From You?

Do you ever feel like God is hiding from you? How do you know you will find God when you search for Him? We find the answer to both of these questions in today’s promise.

Have you ever played hide and seek? Of course you have! When my children were younger, they loved playing that little game. I would hide, then they would try and find me. Sometimes, I would hide a little too well. I had to give a few hints, like a cough or make a sound, just at the right moment so they would find me. Hearing my clues, they would search for me with renewed energy. When they found me, everyone would laugh, scream, and hug.

God Wants to be Found

My goal wasn’t to hide but to be found. I wanted my children to find me.

God doesn’t hide from you. He isn’t avoiding you, and He wants you to find Him.

Here is the heart of this promise. Seeking God always results in finding Him. There is more to be discovered no matter where you are in your walk with God.

You will never plumb the depths of His love, power, or compassion for you. As you seek after Him, He reveals more of Himself to you. The more you seek Him, the more you know Him, and the more you know Him, the greater his power and presence are released in your life.

When You Seek God

There is a condition to this promise; you must seek the Lord with all your heart. Half-hearted or part-time seeking won’t bring you much success. Only as you seek God with all your heart will this promise stand.

When seeking after God’s heart becomes your priority, you will find Him. When you find Him, you will find everything you need.

This promise assures you that when you seek God with all your heart, you will find Him.

Look at this promise again.

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:13 (ESV)

Make these confessions.

  • God is not hiding from me.
  • I know when I seek Him, I will find Him.
  • I will find Him when I seek Him with all my heart.
  • Today, I am seeking God with all my heart.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

You have the assurance that when you seek the Lord with all your heart, you will find Him.

The Lord has shown himself to me in so many ways. When something is heavy on my mind and I pray over it the answer always comes. I know that is from the Lord. I think bringing right people into your life to teach us and inspire us is always from the Lord 🙏

Thank you Billy Taylor and the Daily Promise.
I know that I need to search for God with all my heart. I start searching for him and then I stop. I think that I stop because I get discouraged. But this promise brings renewal to me and I think that I need to read this promise daily. God told me that he has great plans for me and as I begin to spend time in his presence DAILY, he will unravel these plans to me. Please pray for me to push through and persevere. Thank you so much.
