Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Have a New Heart

We began the week with the promise that we have a new heart through faith in Christ. God has taken our old heart that was cold and rebellious and gave us a new soft heart tender toward Him.

Here’s the promise.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. – Ezekiel 36:26-27

Make these confessions.
  • In Jesus Christ, I have a new heart.
  • Jesus took my old, hard heart and gave me a new heart in Him.
  • God fills my heart with the Holy Spirit.
  • My new heart desires to walk in obedience and fellowship with God.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

If your heart has grown cold and insensitive to the voice of the Lord, God wants to revive and refresh your heart. Spend time with Him today and listen for His voice. He will soften your heart through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

Tuesday – Hope Brings Joy

On Tuesday, we discovered the promise that God gives us hope. When we have hope, we can face any challenge that comes our way. We know God is in control, and He is working His plan in our lives. The hope we have in Christ is a constant source of joy in our lives.

Here’s the promise.

The hope of the righteous brings joy. – Proverbs 10:28

Make these confessions.
  • I have joy because my hope is in the Lord.
  • I don’t fear tomorrow because God is in control.
  • I am confident I will spend eternity in God’s presence, experiencing the joys of heaven.
  • My joy overflows because I hope in Him.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Remember, as you place your hope in Christ, joy will overflow your heart.

Wednesday – I Will Make Your Pathway Clear

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that as we trust in the Lord, He will give us clarity and direction. Turning to the Lord shouldn’t be your last resort, but your first step in beginning your journey.

Here’s the promise.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:6

Make these confessions.
  • As I acknowledge the Lord, He shows me the way to go.
  • When I ask, God gives me direction and clarity.
  • He removes every obstacle.
  • He makes my path straight and clear.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Remember, before God can lead you, you must submit your life to Him. When you trust in Him, he clears the path before you.

Thursday – I Will Fight the Battle for You

On Thursday, we saw that God will fight all our battles for us if we allow Him. He goes before us into every challenge we face. He empowers us to bring about victory in every situation.

Here’s the promise.

One man of you puts to flight a thousand, since it is the Lord your God who fights for you, just as he promised you. – Joshua 23:10

Make these confessions.
  • I win every battle because God fights for me.
  • With God on my side, I can overcome any enemy.
  • I never face the spiritual battle alone. God is with me.
  • Since God fights for me, I can drive away every enemy.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Remember, God has promised to fight your battles for you. Don’t try to face the enemy alone. Let God empower you and fight the battle for you.

Friday – I Have a Plan for Your Life

We ended the week with the promise that God has a good plan for our life. Just as a father wants the very best for his children, your Heavenly Father wants the best for you.

It’s easy to get discouraged when things aren’t going your way. Knowing that God has a plan for you and that plan is good gives you hope for the future and faith that He is working that plan for your benefit.

Here’s the promise.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11

Make these confessions.
  • God has a plan for my life.
  • His plan is for my good.
  • He is giving me a future.
  • I have hope as I trust in His plan.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Never forget God is working in your life to bring about His good plan. He hasn’t forgotten you and is working in the background to bring about His good plan in your life.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
