Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – God Sings Over Me With Joy

We began the weeks claiming the promise that God sings over us. Like a proud father who sings over his newborn child, God sings over you.

God holds you in his arms and sings over you. He looks down from heaven and declares, “That’s my boy! That’s my girl! I love them so much! I am so proud of them!”

Here’s the promise.

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. – Zephaniah 3:17

Confess this with me.

  • I am a child of God, and God loves me.
  • He holds me close and sings over me with joy.
  • Today, God rejoices over me with singing.
  • I can rest in Him because He loves me so much.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God sings over you the way a proud father sings over his newborn child.

Tuesday – Jesus Gives Me Rest

On Tuesday, we saw how Jesus promised rest to all those who would come to him. Amid a chaotic and stress-filled world, you can find rest for your soul.

Here’s the promise.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:28-29

Confess this with me.

  • In Jesus Christ, I have rest.
  • I receive rest from trying to be good enough for God.
  • I have rest from my past guilt, shame, and regret.
  • Today, by faith, I claim my rest in Christ.

In Jesus name,
Amen

This week, I am praying you enter into the rest only found in the Lord’s presence.

Wednesday – No Weapon Can Stand Against Me

Midway through the week, we discovered that we are all in the middle of a spiritual battle. However, God has promised that no weapon or attack will be successful against us.

Here’s the promise.

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord. – Isaiah 54:17

Confess this with me,

  • Every attack that comes against me will fail.
  • I claim the protection of my Heavenly Father.
  • I stand in faith today that no weapon formed against me.
  • And no accusation made toward me will succeed.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Satan’s weapons fall useless before you. His every accusation is proven false. As a child of God, you are surrounded before and behind by God’s love and protection.

Thursday – God Hides Me in His Secret Place

On Thursday, we saw when problems and troubles come, Jesus hides us away in the secret place of His presence. When the world is sinking all around you, you can be confident that God has placed you on His solid foundation.

Here’s the promise.

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. – Psalm 27:5

Confess this with me,

  • When troubles come, I know God will protect me.
  • He will hide me in His presence.
  • He will keep me from the enemy and provide for my every need.
  • He is my hiding place.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you build your life around a personal walk with God, when trouble strikes, He will protect and hide you in Him. He will place us on a strong foundation.

Friday – I Am the Light of the World

We ended the week claiming the promise that we are the light of the world.

Jesus declared that we are the light. He was the light of the world; now, we are the light of the world. We are to bring clarity, security, and guidance into the world.

Here’s the promise.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matthew 5:14

Make these confessions.

  • In Jesus Christ, I am the light of the world.
  • I am a city set on a hill.
  • I bring the kingdom of God into every situation of life.
  • I walk in clarity, security, and guidance.
  • I bring the Father’s light to a world of darkness.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Jesus declared that He was the light of the Lord. You are now that light. You bring the light of Christ into every situation of life.
