Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Will Finish My Work in You

We began the week by seeing how God is always working in our lives. What God started at salvation, He will continue until we meet Him face to face.

Here’s the promise.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6

Make these confessions:
  • What God began in my life; He will complete.
  • Every day He is working to make me more like Jesus.
  • He has brought me this far and is not going to quit on me now.
  • I am confident that He will complete His work in me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

God is working in you, day by day, to make you more like Jesus. He will not quit until you are mature in Christ and you see Him face to face.

Tuesday – Jesus Gives Eternal Life

On Tuesday, we celebrated the eternal life we have in Christ. Jesus promises eternal life to everyone who will put their faith in Him as Savior and lord.

Here’s the promise.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life. – John 5:24

Make these confessions:
  • Because I have faith in Christ, I have eternal life.
  • I have passed from death to life.
  • I have no fear of death because I know I have eternal life.
  • When I die, I will spend eternity with the Lord and enjoy all the wonders of heaven.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

As a Christian, you don’t fear death because you know it is the last step to experiencing the eternal, abundant life Jesus promised.

Wednesday – God Eagerly Listens for Your Prayer

Midway through the week, we learned how God is eager to hear our prayers. You never have to wonder if God hears your prayer. He is eager and willing to listen and answer your prayer.

Here’s the promise.

For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. -1 Peter 3:12

Make these confessions.
  • As a child of God, I know God hears my prayers.
  • When I pray, He leans forward with eager anticipation.
  • I need never worry that God hears my prayers.
  • I know that when I pray, God hears, and when He hears, He answers.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you pray, God is listening. It’s now about how well you pray but that your Father in heaven is listening and eager to answer your prayer.

Thursday – Jesus Set Me Free

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that Jesus has set us free. We are free from our sin, free from our past, and free to be the person God called us to be.

Here’s the promise.

So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36

Make these Confessions:
  • In Jesus Christ, I am free.
  • I am no longer a slave to my sin.
  • I have freedom from my guilt and shame.
  • I have the freedom to walk in fellowship with God every day.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Don’t allow Satan or anyone else to put you back into bondage. Jesus has set you free. Leave the chains behind and walk in freedom today.

Friday – God Uses My Suffering

We ended the week with the promise that even in our suffering, God is working. God doesn’t bring us suffering, but when it comes, He uses it for His glory and our benefit.

Here’s the promise.

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. – 1 Peter 5:10

Make these Confessions.
  • My suffering won’t last forever.
  • I can rejoice in my suffering because God will use it.
  • He is perfecting and confirming me.
  • He is strengthening me and will establish me.
  • My suffering is minimal compared to the glory of knowing Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God never causes our suffering, but He can use it to test and strengthen our faith. When you go through suffering, God uses your suffering for your good and His glory.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
