Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday

We began the week seeing how God leads us in the way we should go. When you fear the Lord, God promises to lead and guide you through the big and small decisions of life.

Here’s the promise.

Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. – Psalm 25:12

Make these confessions.
  • As I fear the Lord, He directs my path.
  • He gives me wisdom for the choices I must make today.
  • As I make the right choices, I follow successful paths.
  • God gives me wisdom and direction as I learn to fear Him.

 In Jesus name,
Amen

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we how the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts and reminds us that we are the Lord’s.

Here’s the promise.

The Spirit Himself testifies with our Spirit that we are children of God. – Romans 8:16

Make these confessions.
  • I am a child of God.
  • The Holy Spirit bears witness that I am God’s child.
  • Because of my faith in Christ, I never have to doubt my salvation.
  • I have confidence in prayer because I am a Child of God.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Wednesday

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Here’s the promise.

Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10

Make these confessions.
  • I have the joy of Jesus in me today.
  • My joy is not dependent on my circumstances, but on the Lord.
  • My Heavenly Father rejoices over me today.
  • The joy of the Lord is my strength today.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Thursday

On Thursday, we saw that when Jesus was here on earth, He was tempted in every way we are. Because of this, He has sympathy for our weaknesses and failures.

Here’s the promise.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. – Hebrews 4:15

Make these confessions.
  • Jesus is my great high priest.
  • He faced every temptation I face and yet was without sin.
  • He understands my weaknesses and how hard life can be.
  • Jesus welcomes me into His presence.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Friday

We finished out the week, looking at four character qualities of God. His grace, His mercy, that He is slow to anger, and overflows with commitment love toward us.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness. – Psalm 145:8

Make these confessions.
  • God’s grace and mercy are flowing over me today.
  • God is patient with me as I grow in my walk with Him.
  • When I sin, God is slow to anger and gives me time to repent.
  • God’s commitment love keeps me in close fellowship with Him.

In Jesus name,
Amen
