Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – He Knows My Name

We kicked off the weeks seeing how Jesus cared about individuals. Jesus taught the crowds but always had time for individuals. One day He stopped to call a short little tax collector by name to come down from a tree. Jesus knows you by name and wants to spend time with you.

Here’s the promise.

So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house. – Luke 19:4-5

Make these confessions.
  • I am important to God.
  • He knows my name.
  • God loves me and invites me into an intimate relationship with me.
  • He calls me by name to follow Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God knows your name. You are not a nameless face to God. God loves the world, but He loves you just as much. He knows your name and wants a relationship with you.

Tuesday – Greater is He that is in Me

On Tuesday, we found that Satan may be working in the world around you, but the Holy Spirit in you is greater than the powers of darkness around you.

Here’s the promise.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. – 1 John 4:4

Make these confessions.
  • The Spirit of Christ dwells in me.
  • I will not be fooled by the false teachers of the day.
  • I will not fall to Satan’s temptations.
  • The Holy Spirit in me is greater than the kingdom of darkness around me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You can live in victory over Satan’s deceptions and temptations because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Wednesday – I Have Victory Over Fear

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that we have victory over fear because God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control.

Here’s the promise.

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1:7

Makes these confessions.
  • Fear does not control me.
  • God has given me power, love, and self-control.
  • I am not afraid.
  • I will step out in faith and not cower in fear.
  • I will follow God’s direction wherever He leads, in faith.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God has not given you a spirit of fear, so go out and live in the power and confidence God has given you.

Thursday – Submit to God, and Satan will Run

On Thursday, we learned that Satan’s attacks become powerless when we submit ourselves to the Lord. He always runs away from the presence of God in us.

Here’s the promise.

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. – James 4:7

Makes these confessions.
  • In Jesus’ name, I have victory over the devil.
  • I submit myself to the will and leadership of Christ.
  • I stand against the attack of Satan in my life.
  • I claim the victory over Satan God has promised me.
  • I know Satan will flee as I resist him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You don’t have to walk in defeat to Satan’s attack. Submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee from You.

Friday – I am a Child of God

We ended the week seeing how we are the children of God. As followers of Christ, we are the sons and daughters of the living God.

Here’s the promise.

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. – Galatians 3:26

Make these confessions.
  • I am a Child of God.
  • God is my Father
  • I am in Christ and covered by His blood.
  • I come boldly before Him in prayer.
  • He calls me son, and I call him Father.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

When you came to Christ in faith, God became your Father, and you became His child. He invites you to call Him “Daddy.” You are a child of the living, creator God.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from God’s Word.
