Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – God Gives Me Grace, Mercy, and Peace

We began the week,  seeing that as followers of Christ, He fills our lives with grace and mercy. Grace and mercy work together to produce peace in our lives.

Here’s the promise.

Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. – 2 John 1:3

Make these confessions.
  • God’s grace is with me today.
  • His grace drew me to Himself and brought about my salvation.
  • God’s mercy is flowing over me today.
  • His mercy has forgiven my sin and made me new in Him.
  • Because of God’s grace and mercy, I have peace with Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God’s mercy and grace come together to bring about God’s peace in our life.

Tuesday – My Worship Pleases God

On Tuesday, we discovered that as Christians, we have a unique ability to worship God. As Christians, God loves our worship. We are the only creatures in all creation who can worship Him in spirit and truth.

Here’s the promise.

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. – John 4:23

Make these confessions.
  • I worship God in spirit and truth.
  • I gratefully express my thanks and praise to Him.
  • My worship always begins in my heart.
  • God loves it when I worship him in honesty and with a pure heart.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Don’t worry about how to worship or if you are doing it right. Just focus on lifting your praise and thanksgiving from a genuine, thankful heart.

Wednesday – God is Working in Me

Midway through the week, we claimed the promise that God is working in us to change us from the inside out.

Here’s the promise.

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. – Philippians 2:13

Make these confessions.
  • Right now, God is working in my life.
  • His Holy Spirit is working in me to bring about obedience to Christ.
  • God gives me the desire to obey and serve Him.
  • God is working in me so He can work through me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Today, allow God to work in you, so you can work for His good pleasure. God’s work in your heart shows itself in your love, service, and witness to those around you.

Thursday – Heaven Cheers Me On

On Thursday, we saw how heaven is filled with those who have gone before us. They are cheering us on to victory in Christ.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. – Hebrews 12:1

Make these confessions.
  • Today I run my spiritual race with passion.
  • Those who have gone before me are cheering me on to victory.
  • I will not give up, give in, or give out.
  • I run with my eyes focused on Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you feel like giving up on the race, remember, those who have gone before you are cheering you on to go deeper and further for Christ.

Friday – I Pray in Faith

We ended the week claiming the promise that when we pray in faith, God answers. God wants us to ask in faith, believing that He will do what He has said He would do.

Here’s the promise.

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. – Matthew 21:22

Make these confessions.
  • I believe God hears and answers my prayers.
  • When I pray in faith, I receive from God what I ask.
  • When my faith is weak, God strengthens me.
  • My faith grows as I continue to pray in faith.
  • In Jesus Name,
    Amen

Remember, faith opens the doors of heaven and brings God’s answer. Praying without faith is simply talking to yourself.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.

Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
