Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Will Lead You Step-by-Step

We began the week, seeing how God leads us one step at a time. As we are obedient to the first step, He reveals the next step to us. He speaks to our hearts, showing us the right path to take.

Here’s the promise.

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21

Make these confessions.

  • God desires to lead and direct me through the day.
  • I am blind to the world around me and need God’s guidance.
  • As I tune my ears to His voice, I hear Him more clearly.
  • God may not show me the final destination, but He will show me the next step.

In Jesus name,
Amen

God promises to lead and guide you in the way you should go. All you need to do is listen for his voice and be obedient to Him.

Tuesday – I Give You Eternal Life

On Tuesday, we celebrated our eternal life in Christ. As believers, we don’t have to hope for heaven. We can rest assured in the promise of eternal life with Christ.

Here’s the promise.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. – 1 John 5:13

Make these confessions.

  • Through faith in Jesus Christ, I have eternal life.
  • I will spend eternity in the presence of God.
  • I know I have eternal life because I have put my faith in Christ.
  • When doubts come, I have God’s Word to remind me of His promise of eternal life.

In Jesus name
Amen

Eternal life is not for those who try hard, live a good life, or hope they make it. Only those who placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Wednesday – Victory Comes Little by Little

Midway through the week, we were reminded that  God gives us victory little by little. God knows real transformation takes time. He is working daily in our lives to make us like Jesus.

Here’s the promise.

“I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.” – Exodus 23:29-30

Confess these promises with me.

  • God is going before me today.
  • God is fighting my battles for me.
  • God is leading me step-by-step.
  • God is working in my life little by little.

In Jesus name,
Amen

By leading you step-by-step, God is fighting and going before you to give you victory. He is transforming your life and renewing your mind.

Thursday – God is Near the Brokenhearted

On Thursday, we took comfort in the fact that God is with us when we are brokenhearted. When life has fallen apart, we can rest assured that God is with us. His Spirit will bring comfort in our darkest days.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18

Make these confessions.

  • When I am brokenhearted, God draws me close.
  • He pours His love and compassion over me.
  • When I come to Jesus, He will never turn me away.
  • Amid my pain and failure, God brings healing and restores my hope.

In Jesus name,
Amen

When you are brokenhearted, God draws close to you, bringing healing to your heart and hope for tomorrow.

Friday – I Give You My Spirit and Word

We finished the week with the double promise that God gives us His Spirit and His Word.

Here’s the promise.

Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. – Proverbs 1:23

Make these confessions.

  • I have the Holy Spirit in me today.
  • God is revealing His Word to me.
  • God’s Word is the guiding force in my life.
  • The Holy Spirit is moving God’s Word from my head to my heart.

In Jesus name,
Amen

God’s Word and the Holy Spirit work together to transform and empower your life. Spending time reading God’s Word and listening to the Holy Spirit within you will strengthen and empower your walk with God.

That’s it for this week’s review.

I pray these verses have been a blessing to you. Take a moment to go back over these verses and allow God to move them deep into your spirit.

I hope, whether online or in-person, you will be in church tomorrow. Share at least one of these promises with a friend or family member. Encourage them with a promise from the Bible.
