Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – My Faith Overcomes the World

We started the week, claiming the promise that our faith overcomes the world.

Here’s the promise.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. – 1 John 5:4

Make these confessions.
  • Through faith, I overcome the world.
  • I will not allow the world to seduce me into its ways.
  • Jesus sealed my victory on the cross.
  • I don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the victorious Christian life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

An overcomer is not a special class of Christians; it is the call of God for every believer. Through your faith, you have overcome the world.

Tuesday – I Gives Thanks to the Lord

On Tuesday, we took some time to be thankful. All we have and all we are comes from the Lord. Knowing that God is in control, we can be thankful, no matter what life throws at us.

Here’s the promise.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. – Psalm 118:29

Here are the confessions.
  • Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings you have given me.
  • Thank you for your goodness and promise.
  • Thank you for caring for me in ways I never see.
  • Thank you, Father, that your love for me will never end.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You can give thanks today because His commitment love toward you is everlasting.

Wednesday – He Keeps Me From Falling

Midway through the week, we learned that even when we fall, the Lord is there to pick us up.

Here’s the promise.

The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand. – Psalm 37:23-24

Make these confessions.
  • Failure and falling are part of life.
  • When I fall, I will not stay down.
  • My failure doesn’t have to be fatal.
  • Today, Jesus has me by the hand.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

For the Christian, there is no such thing as a fatal fall. You can survive, get back up, and keep going. Why? Because God has you by the hand.

Thursday – My God is More Than Enough

On Thursday, we celebrated that our God is more than enough. He is able to work in us more than we could possibly imagine.

Here’s the promise.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. – Ephesians 3:20

Here are today’s confessions.
  • My God is the “more than enough” God.
  • The incredible power of God is working in me today.
  • I am stepping out in faith to pray big prayers to a big God.
  • God’s overabundant power is available in me to face any problem or challenge.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Pray big prayers to the mighty God of Heaven. He is waiting to do abundant work in you today.

Friday – God Loves Me Like Jesus

We ended the week seeing that God’s love for us is more than we can imagine. Jesus said, as much as God loves Him, He loves us.

Here’s the promise.

Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. – John 15:9

Make these confessions today.
  • Today I will live connected to the love of Christ.
  • Jesus loves me the way God loves Him.
  • I am making myself at home to the love of Christ.
  • As I abide in Christ, His love flows through me.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Everything in life flows out of that love relationship with Jesus. As you abide in His love, His love flows through you to the world around you.

That’s it for this week’s review. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to strengthen your faith through His Word.
